Fasad produces creative documentaries, hybrids and feature films with global significance intended for international distribution. The company has a tradition of transgressive productions and holds on strong to creative-driven processes with the aim of broadening the possible expressions and ways moving images can be perceived.

Its international productions include Erik Gandini’s CPH:Dox nominated and HotDocs selected After Work, Jesper Ganslandts, Jimmie (opening film RotterdamFF, BUSAN selected and Dragon Award Nominee 2018), Fredrik Wenzels As We’re Told, (winner of IDFA Special Jury Award), as well as Marcus Lindeen’s CPH:DOX main competition and Prix Europa winner The Raft.

Earlier productions and back catalogue include FIPRESCI winning Avalon, Gandinis IDFA winning Surplus, Erik Gandinis IDFA selected, The Swedish Theory of Love, Jesper Ganslandts queer lion nominated The Ape and Lindeen’s Locarno awarded Dear Director. Fasad were also the development producers on films like Anna Odells X&Y, Ninja Thybergs Pleasure.

The company has collaborated with institutions such as Creative MEDIA Europe, Stockholm University, Stockholm Recilience Center, Stockholm Kungliga Konsthögskola, Vinnova, Formas and vetenskapsrådet and their films have had cinematic distribution in over fifty different territories.

Fasad is currently in production with Måns Månsson’s Graham Green Adaption, England Made Me, Higher Ground, Marcus Lindeens next feature and Cristina Piccis About the End.

Fasad aims to create strong, accessible and relevant experiences intended to create realizations valuable in the current public dialogue while doing so.
